Telecare Administrator
£16,536 - £18,430 pro rata
Part-time 18.5 hours, temporary for 6 months

The Assistive Technology (AT) Project works innovatively to support Bristol City Council's Adult Community Care Department in its undertaking to help older people and other vulnerable adults to live independently in their own homes. Our talented and committed team has strong partnerships with Bristol PCT, Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust and a number of voluntary/community organisations to develop pilot projects that identify people who might benefit from AT or Telecare equipment, to install agreed equipment and to work with each service user to evaluate the usefulness of kit they have received.
As the AT team's admin assistant, you'll get involved in many aspects of the team's work to support the service users, pilot projects and partners. You will have specific responsibility for recording assessments, installations and evaluation questionnaires.
You will need excellent communication skills, IT ability - particularly data input/manipulation using Excel; and wordprocessing - and general office administration skills. First and foremost you will support the small AT team itself, but you will also liaise with service users, partners and pilot projects, talking to them by phone, e-mail and standard letters/ forms that you will help to create. You will also spend time working from the offices of one of the partner organisations, assisting them with the ordering and issuing of telecare equipment.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge of AT / Telecare or an enthusiasm to learn about it.
