Job Description
Job Purpose:
Work with the Defence Account Managers and/or Onsite Team to deliver a resourcing service that ensures overall targets are met or exceeded.
Personal Profile:
Manage day-to-day workload for other Recruiters, including delegation of roles and ad-hoc tasks, CV screening, telephone interviewing and ensuring delegated tasks are completed.
* Responsible for own targets
* Point of contact for onsite team or Defence Account Managers
* Writing productivity reports
* Helping to develop Recruiters through mentoring, on the job and classroom
* Undertake management of third party suppliers
* Deputise for Recruiting Manager
* Chair weekly/monthly team meetings
* Networking with applicants to generate more candidates
* Picking up leads from applicants over the phone or face to face
* Meeting Elan Defence account managers or onsite teams for forecasting, pipelining and quarterly reviews
* Carry out face-to-face candidate interviews on an ad hoc basis.
* Undertake candidate telephone interviews in order to identify a short list
* Preparing CVs and Cover Sheets for presentation to Clients, and ensuring quality levels are sufficient for Client inspection.
* Taking references for candidates
* Chasing Elan Defence Account Managers or Onsite Teams for feedback on CVs as required
* Preparing applicants for interviews
* Booking interviews with client/candidates as required
* Debriefing candidates and clients after interviews as required
* Making offers and closing/signing up Candidates/Clients
* Completion of placement forms and KPI information
* Maintaining client and applicant records to the standards laid down by the Employment Agencies Act and the Quality Management System.
* Ensuring that any client/vacancy requirements are adequately recorded.
* Recording details of the recruitment process ie CVs sent, interviews arranged, vacancy requirements and placements
* Providing day-to-day point of escalation for all contractor queries resourcing issues, payment and legal queries
* As required, socialise with applicants and clients in the evenings
* Undertake all duties in accordance with the laid down procedures in the Quality Assurance Manual
* Ensure that own areas of work are serviced and covered thoroughly and efficiently
Qualification: Degree level qualification
Experience:
At least 4-years work experience in a Recruiter role, with demonstrable potential to progress into account management or sales and ability to mentor and coach others.
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
* Good reasoning skills and ability to screen and eventually interview applicants and make sound judgements on suitability
* Excellent telephone skills (basic sales, message handling, service).
* Reasonable presentation skills
* Reasonable knowledge of the market place and of competitors.
* Basic negotiation skills
* Ability to project professionalism and personality over the phone and face to face
* Networking skills
