Job Description
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Treasury Analyst to join a well recognised, blue chip organisation on the South Coast of England.
As Treasury Forecasting Analyst, you will be required to significantly and consistently improve the accuracy of the cash flow forecast. This will enable certainty to be provided to the business of available free cash balances, and thus the ability to support the continued investment in the business or to repay debt earlier in order to reduce the Group\'s interest charge.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Prepare and review the 15 month rolling Group cash flow forecast
Prepare 7 day rolling Group cash flow forecast
Liaise with the business partners for all areas of the business to obtain forecast cash flow information
Report cash flow variances to actual figures to the Head of Treasury, along with explanatory notes
Manage the surplus cash balances In the most efficient way across the Group
Improve the accuracy of the cash flow forecasts by looking at variances to forecast and working with the business to look at ways of improving the forecast data
To ensure that the Group has an accurate picture of the cash in the business and that it is correctly reconciled to the bank statements
Highlighting funding gaps to the Senior Treasury Manager
Effective management of surplus cash in order to maximise the returns and minimise FX exposure through inter-company lending across the Group
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Technical skills
Qualified AAT or equivalent
Excellent analytical, reporting and forecasting skills
A broad range of technical treasury and accounting knowledge would be an advantage.
Commercial/Personal skills
Able to work with the business and business partners to improve the accuracy of the cash flow forecast
Team player
Excellent communicator
Highly motivated.
Able to prioritise and manage time in order to meet deadlines.
