My client is looking for a Trainee Freight Account Manager to generate profit through effective selling, management and develop of client accounts.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- To develop a full understanding of the company and history and the role within.
- To generate new sales either over the telephone, actively logging all client profiles onto the sales and marketing system.
- Develop new business out of existing customers by continuous monitoring of accounts whilst proactively pursuing undeveloped areas.
- To process consignments through the computerized system.
- To monitor consignments ensuring that every function is carried out and customer’s requirements are met.
- To provide accurate and cost effective quotations to clients either by telephone or face to face.
- To effectively communicate with all operating centers your clients needs and ensure that they are carried out.
- To be aware of credit control procedures of your customers.
- To be aware of the processing of sales and purchase ledger invoices.
The basic Package
• £19,000 starting salary
• Ability to increase basic salary to £21,000 end of first year
• Ability to increase basic salary to £23,000 end of 18 months
• Ability to increase basic salary to £25,000 end of 24 months
• Bonus on top of basic
• 6 months – fully expensed company car
• 9 months – company mobile phone
• Pension
• 22 days holidays

• Full manual driving licence with a maximum of 6 points
• GCSE Math and English or equivalent
• Experience of working in a proactive outbound sales role either on the phone or face-to-face
• Experience of working to targets and deadlines
• At least 12 months in present role or 2 years in last 2 roles
• Has the skill and ability to effectively sell a product or service
• Customer focused
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrates organisational and time management skills
• Literacy and numeracy skills
• PC literate
• Demonstrates effective team development skills
