Our clients have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager (Deputy Manager) to join their busy superstore in Bristol
Purpose:
To ensure store profitability effective management of store standards and sales. To co-ordinate all aspects of performance management relating to the sales team by providing caching, feedback and development. To support the General manger in leading a team that provides quality standards and customer solutions, enabling our clients to provide an excellent customer service
Responsibilities:
Manage store presentation standards in accordance with the standards manual and strive for operational excellence
Maximise the potential of the store in achieving the stores sales targets
Effectively the manage the presentation and sales of clearance items
Create a sales focussed team that always puts customers first and that use Hi-5 selling skills
To ensure all customers receive excellent service, as measured by the mystery shop
Create and maintain a sales culture within the store, through sales, coaching and feedback.
Collate and monitor departmental and individual sales objectives
Communicate all incentive-based competitions to all associates using coaching skills to develop improved service and greater sales
Assist in the recruitment and training process of all sales floor associates
Ensure that the store and associates comply with Health & Safety regulations
Perform the duty manager role in accordance with the standards manual
Deputise for the general manager in their absence
To implement a rota for the store management team and team leaders on timely basis
Liaise with the General Manager and communicate all internal issues that affect the running of the store
Knowledge, skills and experience:
2 years retail management/team leader experience
Excellent communication skills
Commercial and customer focus
Basic knowledge of financial reports
Ability to motivate and develop the team
Ability to manage and resolve difficult situations
Organisational and analytical skills
