| Proposals Engineer Salary is based on experience Overview Multi-disciplined engineering company operating principally in the oil, gas, petrochemical and water industries. With over 40 years experience in oilfield engineering solutions. Responsibilities The proposals Engineer will be responsible for Checking that the requisition, specifications, data sheets , drawings and terms and conditions have all been received . Then distributes the information to Proposals Manager, Commercial Manager, Sales Manager and Sales Director. Other responsibilities will include Provide Technical Dept with all information needed to produce the system design. Liaise with Technical Dept, produce P&IDs ( currently drawn by others). Carry out checking and ensure Technical Dept. approve the bid issue . Organises the production of General Arrangement Drawings . Carry out final checking thereof and obtain Proposals Managers approval of the bid issue. Carry out the calculation of material quantities and manufacturing man hours and the pricing of. ( piping , bolting , gaskets , skids , supports , drip trays , ladders , platforms , gratings , lifting beams etc, plus fabrication, assembly and testing ). Carries out calculation of the QA/QC ( inspection and testing) and pricing thereof. Prepare and send out enquiries for all bought out equipment ( vessels , pumps , valves , actuators , strainers, instruments , etc) and services ( like 3rd party inspection) The enquiries would normally include requests for spare parts quotations. Reviews cost estimate with PROPOSALS manager Sales Director and Managing Director and agrees project margin. Prepares Handover Budget giving detail price breakdown for submission to Proposals Manager. Skills and Experience Previous engineering, sales, proposals and / or projects experience. Knowledge of design and manufacturing procedures/ standards, quality assurance and product specifications in the oil and gas industry, with particular reference to custom built packaged equipment.
