As People Manager for the Government Business Portfolio you will need to keep yourself informed of future business requirements. And to deliver on our service promises, it is essential that you make sure your people have the necessary skills. Strategic and business awareness will be critical to achieving this. You’ll manage a diverse team at a senior level, so a strong background in line management in an IT environment and a flair for leadership is absolutely essential. Ideally with a management and/or HR qualification (or equivalent), you may either already be a highly capable line manager from an IT background, but with very strong people management skills. Or, you may be an accomplished HR professional providing HR operational “hands on” support to a technology orientated client base. Focusing the team on meeting its goals through robust performance management, as well as developing the careers of individuals will be prime objectives.
