| Data Planner, Data Intelligence Officer our client is a dynamic, privately owned Specialist Data-Driven Direct Marketing Company based in the South West with approximately 45 staff. Established 9 years ago they work with an extensive client portfolio, covering the financial, charity, media and retail sectors. The company has four divisions; Data Intelligence, Direct Solutions, List and Media Planning and Media Sales. All four divisions within the company work on an integrated basis or clients can select individual services to suit their marketing needs, basically ‘cherry picking the services they require. Job Description The Data Planner is responsible for the planning, management and analysis of client campaigns. They will strategically manage a number of blue chip clients, helping them to plan their prospect and customer contact strategies, overseeing direct marketing activity, and analysing results using the insights gained to assist in the targeting strategies employed for future campaigns. The Data Planner will report directly to the Director of Data Intelligence. Data Planning is a rapid growth area of our overall data proposition, we are looking for an ambitious individual who is committed to delivering and growing this area of our business. The Data Planner will work closely with the technical team of data management experts to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget. Key activities will include: Management of customer and prospect direct marketing campaigns Evaluation of trends in customer and prospect data to inform strategic and tactical development of CRM and prospect acquisition programmes Interpretation of customer and response analysis to improve upon current ROI’s achieved from marketing campaign activity Application of analysis and proposal of optimal contact planning for each customer/prospect segment to maximise return on marketing expenditure Bring learning, insight and trends together in the form of quarterly client reviews Key experience: Required Strong experience in data planning, data strategy, campaign management and direct marketing; direct mail, telemarketing & email In-depth knowledge of data driven marketing Excellent understanding of database marketing techniques Experience of managing a range of blue chip clients Understanding of modelling an segmentation techniques Understanding of Prospect Pools and new customer acquisition Excellent communicator, able to present complex technical ideas to a wide non-technical audience Experience of prioritising work and providing a service to multiple clients Must be highly self-motivated and a strong team player Desirable Experience in basic raw data manipulation and analysis from a data warehouse using SQL and Excel. Experience of using campaign management and reporting tools such as Alterian, Faststats, Business Objects etc. Knowledge of analysis and statistical skills IT skills (Excel, Access, SQL, etc) in return you will recive a competitive basic of 35K - plus Benefits including holiday Allowance: 22, rising to 27 over qualifying period plus Christmas and Bank holidays pro rata for 6 months.
