| Bristol / Gloucester / Bath / Southampton Searching for a world of possibilities? The Phone Book from BT is fast becoming the must-have guide to business and services both in print and via our exciting New Media Advertising propositions. We’re looking for exceptional Sales Consultants to exceed sales targets for one of the biggest telecoms providers in the UK. Suitable candidates will possess: • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services • In depth knowledge of media sales • Customer services skills • Commercial awareness • Strong negotiation skills with excellent business acumen • Ability to work within a team • Computer literacy • Previous experience of the advertising sales environment (desirable) Key Job Responsibilities: • Identify and target best prospects within allocated area • Qualify leads and arrange appointments, respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new customers in order to sell media advertising space within The Phone Book, and to protect and increase existing advertising • Negotiate optimal advertising packages by developing solutions to meet the needs of the customer • To achieve agreed sales revenue and account targets • To keep up to date with the medium, the market and our competitors • To contribute towards plans, forecasts, reports and information regarding customer requirements and business performance • To ensure a high standard of behaviour, knowledge & skills in satisfying customer requirements to enhance customer satisfaction Whilst it’s highly likely that you will be working in a highly targeted sales sector, it’s definite that you will have been working within a B2B sales environment in the past.
