Full Description:
As Assistant Technologist working as part of a product development team you will undergo a thorough training programme where you will develop knowledge of safety issues for Toy, Gifting and Book products and the skills to ensure products are developed, produced and labelled to be compliant with customer and licensor requirements and international safety legislation.

Role:

Supporting the in house publishing teams by answering or forwarding questions on product development and labelling to ensure products are compliant with customer and licensor requirements and international safety legislation.
Conduct projects as required regarding the implementing of new International legislation and customer requirements.
Work alongside the Hong Kong office to keep the Testing Critical Path and the Test Lab Activity Report up to date.
Managing your own portfolio of product development projects.
Administration of company database in relation to testing, reporting, invoicing and product labelling requirements.
Manage the Component Library and keep the Production Testing Table up to date.
Help set up a user trial system with the aim of it forming part of the component approval procedure.
Supporting global sales teams by responding to requests for evidence of product compliance.
Based in the Head office in Bath, conducting daily communication with Asian production offices and international testing laboratories.
Full training plan will be developed incorporating a variety of external courses with internal on the job training and time shadowing relevant departments.

Person

An awareness of toy safety issue would be advantageous but not necessary to start.
Good Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word skills.
Ability to learn and work with bespoke software systems.
Proactive with ability to question and problem solve.
Highly organised and able to prioritise a busy working schedule.
Resourceful with good research skills.
Good communication skills with ability to work well in a team and independently.
