A temporary Housing Options/Homelessness Officer is required in Gloucestershire for circa 3 months.
The role is to give appropriate advice and assistance to prevent or delay homelessness and to carry out in-depth investigations for customers approaching as homeless under the 1996 Housing Act Part VII (homelessness) as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002, decide the extent of the Councils statutory duty, and issue appropriate letter of discharge.
To apply you should have experiences of working in a housing / related environment and a working knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 Part VI and Part VII (as amended), and related legislation such as Asylum Seekers / Immigration / Family Law / Childrens Act and a basic understanding of Part VII Homelessness.
You should also have access to a vehicle and ideally be able to start at short notice.
