A key Primary Care Trust in the South West are looking for an Interim Head of Practice Based Commissioning and Primary Care Services. This is a temporary position for a period of six months, with a strong possibility of extension.
Responsibilities will include:
⢠Developing, monitoring and managing performance for all contractor agreements
⢠Delivering appropriate commissioning and performance management outcomes
⢠Deputising for the Associate Director of Commissioning
⢠Taking a leading role on all GMS & PMS agreements within the PCT
⢠Leading the implementation of the new dental, pharmacy and optometry contracts
The successful applicant will have:
⢠Extensive experience within NHS Primary Care
⢠Strong project management skills
⢠Experience of working within a Practice Based Commissioning environment
⢠Excellent communication and negotiation skills
⢠Previous staff management skills
